View Earth from a Satellite and My Sky

Okay - this has nothing to do with SL, but it is getting close to the weekend and I want to share two of my favorite webistes with all of you.

View Earth from a Satellite :

http://www.fourmilab.ch/earthview/satellite.html

The above is one of my favorite links. You can pick a satellite that is in the Earth's orbit to view the earth. "The satellite database is updated regularly but may not reflect the current position of satellites, such as the U.S. Space Shuttle, which maneuver frequently after reaching orbit."

http://www.fourmilab.ch/yoursky/ is another great site. You can select s city near your home to get a map of the current night sky - the interactive planetarium of the Web. The sky map shows the entire sky as viewed from a given location at a specified time and date.

Pretty cool hugh - great for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night star gazing with the family. ;-)

Regards till my next post,
Dembe
